Othello: Remixed | Review
25 June - 14 July
O, beware, my lord, of jealousy
It is the green-ey’d monster, which doth mock the meat it feeds on…
Othello: Remixed is an adaptation of the classic book by William Shakespeare, set in modern times which uses a boxing ring as its backdrop.
The play tells the story of starstruck lovers who try to overcome the bad intentions of those closest to them. With a mixture of old and modern language, it centres around love, jealousy and betrayal.
Darren Raymond's Othello: Remixed had us and the rest of the audience on the edge of our seats as we gasped, laughed and muttered in distress as the storyline unfolded before our eyes.
Although all of the cast were impressive in their roles, we were blown away by Iago played by Baba Oyejide, whose stand out performance really brought the storyline to life.
Othello Remixed is a must see play and will be running at the Omnibus Theatre until 14th July.
